Diverse Ministry

Since 1989, BOG has offered a diversity of ministries within the ministry of the local church itself. These different ministries are to meet the need of our ethnically diverse congregation; they include outreach, dance, youth, men, women, prayer, prison, hospital and others.

Anointed to Minister to the Community

In August 1995 the entire ministry moved to Downey CA and began to sense a greater need for community involvement as a church. Since moving to Downey the church has participated in over 5 Street Fairs, The Annual Kids Day Event, the city wide community Good Friday services, at which Pastor Grier was the featured speaker. Bishop Grier has been a guest speaker at the City's National Day of Prayer. Bishop and Pastor Grier are members of the Downey Chamber of Commerce, while Bishop Grier has been a member of the Government Affairs Committee. Key members of the community both visit and seek the spiritual leadership they find in this dynamic couple's ministry.

Our Community Based Organization A.C.T.S. (Aggressive Community Training and Service) was organized to better facilitate meeting the needs of community through various projects designed to ease the challenges of the human condition through:

Holiday food and clothing give away

Partnership in the city cleanup projects

Participation in city forums and Community events such as Kids Day and the Annual Street Faire

Youth at risk summer programs

Project Y.E.S. (Youth Experience Success)

Senior assistance through meals on wheels and free Estate planning seminars

Many other Community services to help aid in preserving the quality of life in our local Community
